From the Alfertal viewpoint on the Staatsweg, you look north into the Diemelsee area and the foothills of the upland and the Neerdar valley spreads out to the south. A covered picnic bench invites you to take a short rest in this beautiful place. The state route used to be the border between Waldeck and Prussia and today it is between the large communities of Willingen (Upland) and Diemelsee.
