Moritzburg Palace Park Zeitz

The Moritzburg Zeitz Castle Park, which covers around twelve hectares, extends around Moritzburg Castle. During the 1st Saxony-Anhalt State Garden Show in 2004, the area was completely renovated and redesigned in its original form. Historical buildings such as the orangery and the classicist bathhouse give the park its charming splendor. A stroll through the numerous themed gardens, the venerable Rossner Park or the playful pleasure gardens combines variety and relaxation at a high level. The Japanese Garden is particularly popular, as it gives visitors space for rest and relaxation. On an area of 1,200 square meters you will find a Far Eastern gem that symbolizes the seas, rivers and lakes. The open-air stage at Johannisteich invites you to numerous events during the castle park season. Concerts, theater performances and various festivals take place. With a large sand playground, an animal enclosure and a water playground, the area also offers fun and pure adventure worlds for young visitors. The unique ensemble of historical and modern parks and gardens is also an ideal backdrop for more than a thousand square meters of blooming spring and summer flower beds.
