Best Hikes to Black Rock Limestone Outcrop

Tips

  • Black Rock is a limestone outcrop above Cheddar Gorge. There are a few climbing routes here and old lime kilns. This area is owned and managed by the National Trust and part of a nature reserve.

  • An old quarry used now for a rest stop by hikers. noticed a bit of litter and abandoned items of clothing. Didn't see any bins in the area. It's a shame that people can easily ruin the beauty of a place.
