The constitution column in Gaibach is one of the landmarks of the Lower Franconian village. It is located on the hill of the Sonnenberg. The almost 30-meter-high column is modeled after the Trajan's Column in Rome; The plans are by Leo von Klenze, the court architect Ludwig I. From the base of the pillar you have a nice view towards the Schwanberg.

During my visit in September 2019, the column was scaffolded. How long the work will last, I could not find out.

The Constitution Column is 32 high with an accessible platform.
It was built in the castle park in Gaibach to commemorate the Bavarian Constitution of 1818.
The monument was built by Franz Erwin von Schönborn between 1821 and 1828 based on a design by Leo von Klenze.
