The front building is a listed ticket hall from the time of the former airport. The building was converted for the Federal Garden Show. It got a glass roof and large windows. The city of Munich then leased the building for exclusive events. The front building has been empty since 2014 and bobbed around unused. A lack of ventilation and heating eventually led to mold growth. In 2020 there were attempts to use the building again in summer.
