As early as the 1920s, there was a weathervane and a shelter on the Wildbader Kopf. Because of the eye-catching arched windows, the old shelter was popularly known as "Hasenkirchle". Today's "Weather Vane Hut" was built in 2002.

The weather vane and the accompanying weather vane hut are located in a clearing at the edge of the plateau just below the Wildbader Kopf.From here, there are good views of the Enz Valley with Bad Wildbad and Calmbach streams and the surrounding hills.Benches with tables and the hillside meadow invite you to rest after the climb.In 1999, Hurricane Lothar cleared the forest at this location, and in 2002, the weather vane and hut were erected.
