The water mill already existed in 1275. However, the name Kaisermühl leads back to "Gore Keyser on the Bretmühle zu Melrase" in 1495. In the 16th century a copper hammer was built, which was abandoned after a short time. However, the water mill continued to exist, today's Hotel Kaisermühle corresponds in its architecture and design to the appearance of the mill from 1680.
