The Herdersbrug is a bascule bridge over the Boudewijn Canal.

The metal bascule bridge was built in 1996 as a replacement for the swing bridge from 1906 and consists of three spans: two fixed side spans and a movable center span. The Herdersbrug is part of the N348, an important access road to the port of Bruges-Zeebrugge, for traffic from the N31 from Bruges and Kortrijk.

The bridge was named after the inn "Den Herder", which was first mentioned in 1867. In the 1920s the swing bridge was called Vaartbrug or Brug der Zeehaven.

The Boudewijn Canal was dug between 1896 and 1905. It runs through the entire port area of Bruges-Zeebrugge and connects the outer port of Zeebrugge with the inner port of Bruges. It also offers Zeebrugge an inland waterway connection via the Bruges Ring Canal and the Gent-Bruges Canal. It is approximately 12 kilometers long along its entire course and lies entirely within the city limits of Bruges.
