According to the plans of town planner Hermann-Josef Stübben from May 18, 1900, the construction of a large number of huts began.
The dike was completed in 1925 and then the plan for building a new casino was implemented. This was opened on July 5, 1930.
Joseph's son Gustave Nellens followed his father as director of the casino, and in 1971 his son Jacques Nellens followed. The casino also organized numerous cultural events under the direction of these directors.
