The small village church with the beautiful linden tree, designated as a natural monument, is located in the middle of the village on a hill. Around 1592 the church was built in quarry stone masonry with corner cuboids. Rautenhausen was at times a branch of Schwarzenhasel, where the pastor also lived. The half-timbered gable is from the 17th century and the small bell tower in the middle of the roof dates from 1925.
