Kalied and Kahler Pön are on the Diemel-Eder / Fulda / Weser watershed. Several hiking trails meet here. It is a very nice hiking area and it is in the nature reserve Kahler Pön near Usseln.

Attention, although it is a height, it must read "The Kalied" (= Kahler steep slope) that means something like mountain pasture and vantage point. (Source: information board below the refuge). On the slope is also a clear warning sign for gliders, please note the tree height.

Ka song
Here you can see far over the Medebacher Bay from the heights of the north-eastern Rothaarkamm ridge. In the shadows of the weather of the mountains, this hilly foreland is characterized by a much warmer and less precipitation than the Sauerland uplands. A species-rich poor pasture is to develop again on the sun-exposed mountain slope below the path. For this purpose, the area is extensively grazed after removing a Christmas tree culture.
