The Minnebron is a source managed by the Agency for Nature and Forests. This source is located near the chapel of Our Lady of Steenbergen, on the Zoet Water. People have been coming here to get drinking water since time immemorial. The water quality is checked and posted on a regular basis by the VMM. See also oud-heverlee.be/waterquality-minnebron
There are several sources here but this one has been used this way for a long time. Please note: it can be busy here with people queuing to fill bottles or even large water bottles. Can be reached via a small staircase and side road from the path to the chapel.

The Minnebron has provided clear and pure drinking water since time immemorial.
Probably the "miraculous cures" of the "hot fevers" from which the chapel derives its fame in this traditionally unhealthy swampy area have something to do with this healthy water that in the Middle Ages with its low hygienic standards could only be drawn here and there by the people of that time.
