Gut Seegalendorf is one of the few historical manor complexes in Ostholstein that has been completely preserved. Behind the gatehouse built around 1730 by the Eutin court builder Rudolph Matthias Dallin stretches a courtyard framed by two large farm buildings, to which the court of honor with cavalier houses and a classicist mansion from 1839 adjoin. The estate is a cultural monument.

Seegalendorf Estate was founded towards the end of the 16th century. Like the Putlos Estate, to which it initially belonged, the estate was owned by the Rantzau family, and from the mid-18th century onward, it was owned by the von Rumohr family. The manor house was built towards the end of the 18th century. The original main building was a one-story half-timbered house, with two red-brick cavalier wings attached. While the cavalier wings still stand today, the manor house was replaced by a new, late-classical building in 1839.

The Seegalendorf estate is now used for agricultural purposes and operates a Shetland pony breeding farm.
