It has its sources in the Friborg Pre-Alps in the region of Teysachaux, Dent de Lys and Pleiades in the cantons of Friborg and Vaud.It results from the confluence of the Veveyse de Chatel and Veveyse de Fégire which meet downstream of the town of Châtel-Saint-Denis, at an altitude of 641 m at a place called Vieux Châtel. From then the river flows towards the southwest in a deep valley and flows, in Vevey, in Lake Geneva. The Veveyse de Châtel has a course of about 12 km and Veveyse de Feygire 9 km. From the confluence to Lake Geneva, the Veveyse has a 7.5 km course.The Veveyse, pre-snow nivoluvuvial regime, has a torrential character, the total surface of its watershed is 64.5 km2 and has an average altitude of 1,098 m.
