Fritz Bank (* January 26, 1857) became district manager in 1893 in the royal forester's office in Wennigsen. He died of colon cancer on October 10, 1907 at the age of 50 while he was still on duty. Bank had done a great job opening up the Deister by improving the forest paths, creating new paths and installing benches.
