The Emisch-Haus near the train station is a special eye-catcher in Lichterfelde West.
The tower villa at Curtiustraße 6 at the Lichterfelde West train station is richly decorated with half-timbered and painted facade surfaces.
The architect Wilhelm Sander, a lover of old German bourgeois urban architecture, built the two-story corner house in 1895 and provided the half-timbered gable with colorful paintings. The motifs are of biblical origin. Since the construction phase was affected by a lot of rain, the architect had the facade painted with the story of Noah's Ark, the rescue of animals from the flood.
