Since its foundation in 1986, the Franz Marc Museum in Kochel am See has been dedicated to the work of Franz Marc. The extension, opened in 2008, offers new possibilities for the museum concept.

Franz Marc was an Expressionist and member of the Blaue Reiter, a loose network of relationships of various artists of 20th century modern art.

Not only if you come directly you should visit the museum! The pictures on the ground floor and 1st floor of the "Blue Rider" and "bridge" are extremely pleasing. The 2nd floor usually provides space for special exhibitions, which are always pleasantly surprising!
In addition, the museum is not too big, so you can give yourself enough time to any interesting image ... without being completely overloaded after visiting only a part of the museum.
The attached cafe / bistro also offers a good opportunity to put what you have seen with good food and drink.
