Fuchsfallen – Top Suspension Bridge on Lake Walen (Glarnerland)
The Fuchsfallen Suspension Bridge is one of the best-integrated suspension bridges in existence. It also has a lot of charm and is extremely attractive. More details about the Fuchsfallen Top Suspension Bridge
    Design
What's truly special about this suspension bridge is its anchoring. The two supporting cables are stretched over two 2.8-meter-high metal pylons. On one side, these supporting cables are anchored directly into the rock approximately 5 meters behind the pylon at a height of approximately 2.8 meters. The pylon is additionally secured with a steel cable for safety. On the other side, one supporting cable is also anchored into a boulder (approximately 9 meters behind the pylon), and the other is anchored into the ground directly next to the hiking trail.
The suspension bridge itself originally had a wooden walkway. This was replaced with metal gratings after 2018. While this costs a bit more than wooden planks, it is cheaper to maintain and makes it even safer. Only wire ropes are used for railings, but the fact that there are six of them plus another one for the handrail also ensures high safety on the sides.

Steel suspension bridge along the slope, with a running board for dogs, rather short and not very exposed.
