    Seerenbach Falls and Rin Spring
A natural spectacle near Betlis. With a drop of almost 600 m, the Seerenbach Falls are one of the highest waterfalls in Europe. At the same time, the middle waterfall, with a drop of 305 m, is considered one of the highest free-falling waterfalls in Switzerland. Immediately below the impact zone of the Seerenbach cascade, the Rin Spring emerges from the mountain and cascades over a 45 m high cliff into the Seerenbach River. The Rin Spring is one of the largest underground river systems in Europe. The water from the Rin Spring originates in the Toggenburg region and flows through the many kilometers-long cave system of the Churfirsten Mountains in just a few hours. During snowmelt and after heavy rainfall, up to 40,000 liters of water per second rush into the Seerenbach Gorge; during periods of low rainfall, the Rin Spring can even dry up.

Wonderful view over the upper Walensee and the Seerenbachfall on the other side of the lake, quiet, several snacks for a picnic

A beautiful place with beautiful views of the Walensee and the Churfirsten for a short stay.
