Description of the area
The former heath is wooded with Scots pine and parceled out into residential areas. Undeveloped relics with the former dry, sparse vegetation are very scarce and scattered. Today the Bolloheide consists for the most part of open heath, together with Scots pine forest. In addition to heather on dry, nutrient-poor and acidic soil, you will also find more arid, nutrient-poor grasslands. The grazing block is accessible through various gates.
