The signposted archaeological trail is 6 km long, but can of course be extended as desired. Its symbol is the door lintel with the disc cross, which was discovered during road construction in 1936. This discovery is linked to the deserted village of Holnstein, which is part of the trail. Burial mounds up to 3,000 years old, evidence of medieval iron mining, and other remains are also on display and explained on information panels. In March, the countless blooming snowdrops in the northeast section of the trail are a sight to behold.
