The wooden sculpture, now leaning against a tree, serves as a clue to the historical past of this location.
Historical context: Originally, the Fort was a defensive structure. A raised platform in an open space, surrounded by a raised dike and a wet rampart. A tent camp set up in the Fort was easy to defend. After all, the camp couldn't be stormed from all sides by the enemy. Spanish and French armies used this fortress in the past. Today, the Fort is an excellent sheltered picnic spot.
