Col Vieux is a superb pass at 2,806 meters above sea level. From there, you have a 360° panorama of the Alps, the peaks of Pain de Sucre, Taillante, Pic de Foréant and Col Agnel. Good to know: Col Vieux is bare, so there is almost always a lot of wind!

Hiking

Very busy pass which gives access to several peaks of Queyras. The famous Pain de Sucre and its belvedere on the Viso, the Taillante ridge, the Foréant peak, etc. The cairn at the pass has been fitted out with a bench to sit on. In season there are many people because a road car park is located just below.
