Today, the Olympic swimming pool is a public swimming pool that continues to be used for national and international sporting events. In 1987 the only international swimming competition between the Federal Republic and the GDR was held here. In addition to the main pool and a diving pool, the Olympic swimming pool also has a training pool for the technical university, which is used for university sports.
