This is not the former Peine-Plockhorst connection, but the former route from Braunschweig to Celle. The BS-CE route begins at Harvesse on the renewed railway line (upgraded feeder road) to the new Volkswagen logistics center. Only at the end of the highlight "Schöner Weg auf dem Damm" does the Plockhorst railway join the BS-CE route via a wide arc between Eickenrode and Plockhorst.
