St. Martin's Church is around a thousand years old. The Sexton's House houses an exhibition of artifacts that were excavated in the immediate area. The forest inn is highly recommended. Hikers and dogs are always welcome.

Remains of a church building date from the years 700 to 850 AD. The Martinskirche is a new building from the 11th century that was built on the remains of the previous church building. The previous building from Carolingian or Ottonian times was somewhat wider and longer than today's hall building (nave: 16.5 × 9.7 meters). The axis was shifted slightly to the north compared to today's building. Next to the triumphal arch, the remains of a side altar including a step were uncovered. A rectangular chancel, probably from the 8th or 9th century, formed the east end, which was replaced by a semicircular apse in the course of the new church building in the 11th century.

The east church is built of locally broken quarry stone masonry from Buntsandstein with Eckquaderung on a 387 meter high plateau, whose oval base is about 200 × 250 meters. The uncut, red sandstones were originally plastered white. Martin's Church is located in the northwest of the cemetery, which is located within the former Carolingian castle complex. The single-nave hall and the squat west tower date from the 11th century.

Noteworthy Martinskirche from the 12th century and the excursion restaurant "Waldgasthaus Christenberg". Very nice place.
