This bunker belonged to the Gotha Reichsbahn repair shop.
It was built in 1942 and has 5 floors and 2 entrances. In addition to the shelters, ventilation systems and sanitary facilities were also housed in the tower. In the 1980s the bunker was modernized and used by civil defense.

On September 18, 1934, the design idea was submitted to the Reich Patent Office as a patent application. The patent was granted on April 9, 1938. The Winkel & Co. Duisburg company application to build air raid shelters was dated December 31, 1936. The founding capital was 15,000 RM.
The Winkel towers, which, depending on the design, could accommodate up to more than 600 people, were developed by the company and built by twelve leading German construction companies under license. Each structure had to bear a reference to the design company and the construction company carrying out the work.
