It was a wonderful Sunday round in the Ore Mountains today. We started again in the Chemnitz valley and then on really great paths through the 6 Ruthen forest in the direction of Flöha, a little along the Flöhatal cycle path to the Lößnitz valley, then on to the Saidenbach dam. Ridden back to another section of the Flöhatalweg and curled up via Augustusburg and Euba through the Zeisigwald to Glösa for iced coffee, because enjoyment is a must😇
In terms of the route, it was perfect today, even new passages were discovered and if you look at the HM it wasn't a flat lap at all.

Today I didn't plan it myself, but chose a saved Komootrunde because on the one hand it promised a lot and on the other hand it led directly to the sister's heart. Well to anticipate it, everything was done right! 😊
It has become 10 lakes tour in New Lakeland. Starting with the Adriatic Sea (Borna reservoir), then on to the Haselbacher See, past the Groitzscher See (which we left behind) to the Großstolpener See. Then it was time to have coffee at the brother-in-law and refreshed to the Zwenkauer See, which is really nice and big. Halfway around this lake to the Cosbudener See, where I treated myself to a little ice cream and cycled to the Markkleeberger See. First there was fish rolls of the most delicious kind. Wat mutt dat mutt. 😁
Now I feel good in my stomach and mind and from now on with a lot of headwind along the Störmthaler See through Espenhain to the Hainer See. It was noticeable that quite a lot was fenced in and declared private. Should there be a tendency? I hope not...

We took advantage of the nice weather and visited friends in Kohren-Sahlis. By bike, of course. Driving on familiar terrain in the central Saxon region and sipping an ice cream in Wechselburg. The pure pleasure of driving like this

Visited the polling stations today, looked at a few animals, cycled through a corn field (strange, otherwise there was always only meadow 😉) ... and arrived at the ice rink almost too late

Immediately after work, cycle in the direction of the Pressnitz valley and the Pressnitz reservoir. The weather was initially drizzle and then cleared up a bit. The path along the Pressnitz is a little spooky without any other cyclists, but also wildly romantic. So we enjoy it now and get to our neighboring country, where we get pancakes and coffee (both delicious and perfect) at a mobile counter in the first village and have a rest. Then we circumnavigate the Pressnitz reservoir, where we drove about 8 km on a larger road. But traffic was very little and therefore not disturbing. Via komoot's mysterious paths we get back to Germany via a beaten path and then follow the Annaberger Landring for a while. For us trekking e-bikers who enjoy cycling, it is really sporty in some places ... 😁
But after we passed Annaberg, Wiesa and Neundorf, the tour still had a treat for us: A forest trail through the forest in the meantime

Today is Sunday and since we are staying here in Franconia, where there are countless castles and palaces, we want to absorb some culture.
The planning was done very quickly, just put a few highlights from our aunt Google and sorted them. Somehow that doesn't work at komoot yet. It has become a small, cozy round on side streets and bike paths. First we marvel at the boss of the Röhrlinge - the Satan's mushroom - one of the rare poison mushrooms among the Röhrlingen right next to the parking lot. Then Tambach Castle, Callenberg Castle and Hohenfels Castle - from the outside. 🤑
Because they're all closed somehow or private. Well, we only get annoyed for a moment and continue cycling up to Veste Coburg. And it invites because it is open to us😀 - we are in good spirits again!
Then there is delicious ice cream and coffee at the market in Coburg.
We get to the tranquil Seßlach via some of the most beautiful forest and bike paths, which is worth a visit as it is a real old town

Because of the better weather forecast, we cycled in Franconia today. Around the Staffelberg, which we had been looking to explore for a long time.
We started from a hiking car park in the direction of Staffelberg and it was tough! We didn't expect such a gem, so we stayed there for a while. We continued on nice little side streets in the direction of Untersiemau where a troupe with wind instruments blew our march on the way .... Strange and ingenious to experience that, they hike and make music and a Franconian 🍺 was the food.
After we passed a Rapunzel Castle, we went to a bathing lake on rather winding paths. Under a bridge crossing the same, the path was a bit exciting. The swimming lake was intended as a coffee break, but the beach cafe was nowhere to be found. Then we ate a delicious Pizza Diavolo a little further, which had a similarly stimulating effect!
We went on to the basilica

Today we slept well and started with the prospect of good weather. Yesterday evening we explored the beautiful Bautzen a little and enjoyed the mild late summer here on a high bench until well after sunset. What a stark contrast to yesterday in Oybin, where it was wet autumn ...
Inspired by a suggested Komootrunde, we started in the direction of the reservoir in order to get past it to the left to the pond landscapes. Well, I must have overlooked a sign and suddenly we were standing in front of a nasty staircase. What the heck ... I just heaved the bikes up and cursed about my blindness. The rest of the way, however, was really awesome. We cycled the most beautiful bike paths, trails and village streets alternately between countless ponds and lakes or sometimes all the way to the Bärwalder See, which we finally also circled. The beaches still had a few visitors, but hardly anyone was swimming. Fish roll and coffee was

Oh yes ... we wanted to enjoy the day cycling around Oybin. It turned out to be a really nice and interesting tour, which we then shortened due to annoying rain.
We crossed the border triangle via Poland and then cycled over an unspectacular mini wooden bridge to the Czech Republic. The tour continued through small towns and past a beautiful swimming lake in the middle of a mountain bike race, where we took part in an ice cold unannounced. Unfortunately, no one cheered us in the middle of the forest, but no one prevented us from skiing on the slopes. I think the race was almost over when we made a consciously chilled turn at the start / finish and stoically continued following our Komoot route.
If the weather had been better, who knows ... 😄
