The Cathedral of Christ the Savior, with its 103 meters, is one of the highest Orthodox churches in the world and is the seat of the Russian Orthodox Patriarchate of Moscow and all of Russia.
The current church is a reconstruction of the original church, which was blown up in 1931 on the orders of Stalin. It was inaugurated again in 2000, 69 years after it was destroyed.
