walking pleasure. Streams, canals and ditches cross the domain. Orphan
Rest assured: twenty wooden bridges will keep your feet dry! Through narrow,
winding sandy paths you explore a varied landscape with forests,
grasslands, historic fens and heathland. The ferry across the canal
forms a wonderful intermezzo on your walk.

At the moment we find different landscapes in the Regional Forest of Ravels. The forests consist of deciduous and coniferous trees. These forests are interspersed with old fens, heath, meadows and beautiful roadsides. One of the fens was transformed into a picturesque pond. The most famous fen is called the Kesseven. Current forest management strives for a more uneven and uneven forest. Nature gets more opportunities. The 35-metre vertical line that crosses the Gewestbos also forms part of the division between the Meuse and Scheldt basins. On one side of this line the water flows towards the Maas and on the other side towards the Scheldt. Incidentally, in Rijkevorsel, along the Turnhout-Schoten canal, there is an information panel showing the complete 'watershed line'.

Enjoy the Kesseven. At this location you have a beautiful view of the largest heathland in the Gewestbos.
In summer temperatures you can spot playful dragonflies here. On the edge of the Kesseven, mainly rush, reed and sedge species grow.
Still a place to take a break for a while. Don't forget to greet the RAY PRICE a little further down the Measly Path.
