Tips
This lime kiln, built around 1900, was already designed in a modern architectural style and replaced the kiln shape that had been common up to that point. The brick oven was filled with layers of wood and limestone from above. At a firing temperature of around 1000 degrees, the limestone decomposes into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide.
The lime kiln was completely renovated in 2018/19.February 9, 2022
