This fortified church of Romanesque origin dates from the year 1151 and occupies the northern corner of the old walled enclosure of La Tallada. It is a building with a single nave, with a semicircular apse and two annexed chapels, one on each side of the nave. The vault has a pointed arch, and is crowned by a bell tower with two lowered arch openings, to which a clock was added in 1937.
It was fortified during the 16th century, raising the apse and turning it into a defense tower and providing it with loopholes. In the 18th century the sacristy and the side chapels were added.translated by
