Arriving after a journey of about 1 km in the already wonderful Siq and seeing the Treasury appear is like traveling back in time. Leave absolutely early in the morning (the site opens at 6.30 in winter) to avoid the crowds that dominate for the rest of the day

As the Siq gets narrower and darker in the final meters, the Al-Khazneh (Treasury) suddenly lights up at the end of the crevice. Standing in front of one of the most famous facades in the world is a magnificent experience - provided you get there before crowds of tourists block your view.
