The first palace in this place was built in the 15th century. The one that stands today is the result of reconstruction completed around 1890 by Konrad von Sydow. For centuries, the palace and the surrounding estate were owned by the von Sydov family. There were two mills, a distillery and a brewery, sheep and cattle were bred here, and cheese was produced and sold in Berlin. After 1945, the building was adapted into administrative rooms and apartments of the local State Agricultural Farm, although almost all elements of the original equipment were preserved. After the liquidation of the State Agricultural Farm, the palace passed into private hands. Renovation to transform the palace into a hotel has been going on for over 20 years, but there is no sign that this renovation will ever end. The good news is that the palace has not been devastated and is in good condition. The building retains its original details, iron fittings, staircase finishing, columns with paintings, and ceilings. Currently, the palace is for sale.
