The Gollingscharte, crossed with respect the day before, seems almost tame from here next to the massive rock mass of the Hochgolling.
The origin of the name Rotmandlspitze is already revealed when climbing up from the Kruckeck-Scharte, but the red background is also clearly visible on the steep descent to the Giglachseen. The view of the Styrian and Lungauer Kalkspitze falls across the Giglachseen.
