Tips
The first gate to the main castle was built in 1260 and provided with a rocker bridge. In 1352 it was badly damaged in a storm on the castle. Today the partially rebuilt gate wall represents the back of the castle chapel.

We look at the upper gate, the entrance to the main castle.Three different gates were built over the ages, with the 1st and 2nd gates later being given new functions after they were damaged.The 1st gate was converted into a chapel in 1490.There was once a moat here that was crossed by a drawbridge.In front of it are the remains of a gun tower.
