Hiking

Initially, Kalkhütte was just a place name, but as early as the 19th century, there was a "Kalkhäusl" here because primary limestone had been found at the foot of the Haselstein. In the 1950s, the current Kalkhütte was built as a wooden structure. It serves as a meeting point and event venue for the Floßer Waldverein and is, among other things, the setting for the traditional "Waldweihnacht". New is the well next to the hut, which was inaugurated in 2025.
