The church, a granite building on the village green, is mentioned in the chronicle as early as 1375. During the 30 Years War the church was destroyed and then rebuilt. This church was also destroyed in a fire in 1812. The current half-timbered church, consecrated in 1817, was built on the foundations of the first devastated granite church. It stands on the highest point of the village square.
