You can recognize Romanesque windows on the church, but you cannot determine the age of the church from these. The church tower consists of an older Romanesque building and a later Gothic one. The superstructure from 1503 consists of granite blocks.
After the great fire in 1878, from which the masonry suffered a lot, it was given a pointed polygonal pyramid roof (1883).
This parish church of St. Vigilius was donated to the newly founded Stams monastery in 1273 by Egno, then Bishop of Trento. The main painting is by Hans Platter from 1440. The carved Gothic high altar was made by the sculptor Josef Wassler in Merano.
The bells were also destroyed in the fire, which is why the Grasmair company in Wilten built six new bells (in 1883).

This parish church is located in the area of Maia Bassa (Untermais), at the end of Via Piave. The current bell tower stands on a Romanesque plinth of 6 meters high. The old Gothic church, built between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, is located under the apse of the current building, which was built between 1934 and 1936. Inside there are some ancient Romanesque remains, a priceless Gothic altar and a number of frescoes dating from the fifteenth century.
