Yes, exactly, you shouldn't go there in the midday heat, even in May. It's best to go early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The path through the gorge to Lissos beach isn't long, but does require a certain amount of surefootedness. There is a height difference of 146 meters and the path is difficult to walk due to the large amount of rubble.
