Hiking Highlight (Segment)
Small correction to the comment by Matthias Brandt: This border was never the border between Baden and Württemberg, but only the district or community border between Hohenwart (now a part of Pforzheim) and Hamberg (now a part of Neuhausen). All the places mentioned have always belonged to Baden. The former state border between Baden and Württemberg runs about 2.5 km further east and there between Tiefenbronn in Baden and Friolzheim in Württemberg.
@Matthias Brandt: Thanks for your correction!
@All: Matthias Brandt's comment now fits - don't let my comment confuse you! ;-)

This hiking trail follows historical traces along the old boundary between Hohenwart and Hamberg. The narrow hiking path lined with numerous historical boundary stones, which runs above a wide gravel path, is well signposted with the yellow diamond and leads directly to the Wolfsgrube. From the Wolfsgrube you have a great panoramic view of and over the Würmtal and the Liebeneck castle ruins opposite.

Beautiful hiking trail along the old district boundary. Worlds better than the Black Forest Highway below.
