The Mapper ski jump is a well-preserved gate fortification of the Rheingau region - one of the strongest medieval land forces in Germany. The Rheingau Brueck consisted essentially of a 50-meter-wide fouling strip, which was formed from closely set grove or beech bushes. Their young shoots were bent down (bent) to the ground and intertwined to form an impenetrable natural barrier.
