Hiking

The car can be conveniently parked at the upper entrance to the gorge by the bridge. From there, paths lead down on both sides of the gorge. Follow the main path through the gorge to Marmara Beach. Another path leads from the beach in the direction of Livaniana over the plateau back into the gorge. So you can make a circular route out of the hike.

Hiking

Since the Aradena gorge is harder to conquer than other gorges in Crete, there is no mass tourism here. That's great! That refers to the way in the gorge. At Marmara Beach, it is of course full in the high season! ;-)

We did the walk around the gorge to the bay first. Then hiked back from the bay to the bridge - in my view, easier climb.
