This is an entrance to Ascott House and the gardens, if you cannot get through here head towards Leighton Buzzard and you will find the Visitor Entrance signposted. Usually open from March check website ascottestate.co.uk for opening and winter closure. At bust time it may be worth booking in advance. The gardens are wonderful any time of the year, but the spring daffodils are not to be missed. The House Ascott House as it appears today, belies its age. Long, low and gabled, it looks like a heavily restored Tudor house. Its core is indeed an old farmhouse, thought to date from 1606.Approach is via the busy A418, but a cycle path is available between Wing and Leighton Buzzard
