What remains of the "Mardorf mine" (iron ore mine)? A mining relict, actually a mining monument, near the B254 near Hebel. A huge concrete pillar of the 1946/47 cable car from the pit to the stop in Singlis, the rail loading station. This pillar is the one that has been preserved from two concrete pillars, all others were wood / steel construction. The unloading station in Singlis was demolished in 1973. The ore was transported from the cable car to the train station in Wabern by motor vehicle.Source:
