The Hohe Straße was an old trade route that led from the Elbe Valley to Lusatia. The three villages Lichtenhain, Mittelndorf and Altendorf along the Hohe Straße were founded by German farming families at the end of the 12th century. The courtyards were laid out in rows on either side of a small watercourse. Row villages emerged, which can still be seen today.

From here you have a good view of the Upper Saxon Switzerland when the weather is nice.
