The history of the "Rittergut" (town hall) goes back to the 12th century. return. 1248 is the first documented mention of a Johannes Limpach. The former manor was built as a large agricultural farmstead, mainly in timber construction.
The "parish Limpach" has been documented since 1346 in the Meissen diocese articles.
The feudal lords of Limbach with Oberfrohna were the Knights of Meckau from 1240 to 1538. From 1538 the village and manor of Limbach belonged to the von Schönberg noble family. The manor house of the manor was rebuilt in 1570 in a solid stone construction in the Renaissance style. The portal made of red Rochlitz porphyry with a bench and the two busts of the sovereign "Father August and his wife" are striking stylistic elements of the Renaissance. Inside, the spiral staircase with cantilevered spindle, as well as the cross vaults on the ground floor and paneled ceilings on the upper floor are worth seeing.
After the death of Georg I von Schönberg's widow, Helena Dorothea von Schönberg, her brother Count von Wallwitz received the manor.
After that, the manor changed hands several times until it became municipal property in 1912.

"House B", a late baroque building from 1780, shines in old yet new splendor after extensive renovation.
