Es ist ein schöner Rundwanderweg mit Ausblick aufs Erzgebirge. Unten im Tal geht es entlang der Zwickauer Mulde Flussaufwärts. Angelegt haben den Erlebnispfad Mitglieder des Fördervereins "Wildenfelser Zwischengebirge". Er führt auf bereits ausgeschilderten Orts- und Verbindungswegen. Auf ihm stehen mehrere Möglichkeiten zum Pausieren zur Auswahl. Besonders schön sind sie auf der "Alten Schönauer Straße". An entsprechenden Standorten gibt es außerdem Infotafeln zur Geschichte und Natur. Start und Ziel ist ein Parkplatz am Ringbrandkalkofen in Grünau. Für die Runde ist keine besondere Fitness notwendig.
