There are numerous ponds in the Tervuren Park. The Vossemvijver and the southern Kanaal- and Gertrudisvijver were recently restored and give part of the southern park area back its former glory. Fish and amphibians find it pleasant to stay there thanks to a varied aquatic plant growth and the construction of spawning grounds.

It's hard to believe that bustling Brussels is just a stone's throw away, this complex is so romantic and dreamy. Tervuren Park - also known as Warande - is one of the Flemish gates to the Sonian Forest. The monumental remains of a rich past add extra flair to this green oasis. Stroll between majestic oaks and beeches, stroll along elegant French gardens, ponds and flower beds and feel transported back in time.

Recommended: The Afrika Museum reopened at the end of 2018 after five years of renovation. It houses unique collections from the former colonies in Central Africa.
