"... The Holtebach is an orographic right tributary of the Schwarzwasserbach in North Rhine-Westphalia. It is 6.4 km long.
The Holtebach rises in the Senne within the Hövelhofer forest through the confluence of numerous ditches, some of which are drains from the Moosheide nature reserve. The Holtebach then crosses the Hövelhofer industrial area and is dammed up in several places for the purpose of storing extinguishing water.
Then, in wooded terrain, the right-hand recording of the Hallerbach, which runs almost parallel to the Holtebach, to which there is already a connection via the ditch system in the Hövelhofer forest, takes place. Northeast of Espeln, the Holtebach then flows into the Schwarzwasserbach on the right within a complex of meadows and grassland known as the "Haller", which shortly afterwards flows into the Ems. ..."
